Serving Bay Ridge
Physical Therapy for Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
The one place where the bus genuinely beats the train — the B1 starts in Bay Ridge and runs the length of 86th Street.
Where we are, relative to Bay Ridge
Omega Physical Therapy has one office, at 2327 83rd Street, Suite C, Brooklyn, NY 11214, and we see patients from Bay Ridge there.
Bay Ridge sits at the far south-west corner of Brooklyn, between Sunset Park to the north, Dyker Heights to the east and the Narrows to the west, with the Verrazzano–Narrows Bridge and Fort Hamilton at its southern end. It is the furthest of the neighborhoods we serve, and the trip is more straightforward than the distance suggests.

Directions & Transit
Why the bus is the better ride from Bay Ridge
Bay Ridge is served exclusively by the R train on the Fourth Avenue Line. The D, which is the line that runs past the office along 86th Street, does not come to Bay Ridge at all — so getting here by subway means a transfer and a doubling-back, and it is rarely the quickest way.
The B1 is. It begins at Fourth Avenue and 87th Street, turns onto 86th Street and runs its entire length east, stopping within three blocks of the office. That is one bus, no transfer, and it is the reason a Bay Ridge patient often arrives faster than the map implies. The B64 is the other useful one, running via Bay Ridge Avenue and Bath Avenue. Driving, 86th Street and Bath Avenue both run straight through from Bay Ridge; the office is on a residential block with posted alternate-side parking.
Planning the visit
Because the ride is longer than from the neighborhoods immediately around the office, it is worth using the appointment time efficiently. New-patient forms can be printed and completed at home before you come in, which is the single thing that shortens a first visit most, and bringing your insurance card, photo ID and any imaging report or referral means nothing has to be chased afterwards.
The office is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call (718) 996-9929 or request an appointment online, and every visit is one-on-one with Dr. Dmitry Shestakovsky, DPT.
